Post Program

A few points regarding the Post Program

  • The price is 100 Euro per participant.

  • The registration will end after the first 45 people have registered.

  • The price includes 8 meals, transportation, accommodation and tour guides.

  • The price doesn't include alcoholic drinks, memorabilia and other tourist items.

  • The participant will be insured during program hours, after which the participant is free to do whatever he or she wants under his or her own responsibility.

Depart from Tel Aviv

 

Misgav Am Lebanon Lookout:

  • Get a briefing on the current regional affairs between Lebanon, Syria and Israel with Middle-East expert.

  • Learn how their relations affect Israel and its security concerns; get a historical breakdown of events between Israel & Hizbollah along the border and their implications on the ground today.

  • Learn about the minorities in the region

  • Meet a UNIFIL (UN Interim force in Lebanon) representative. Hear from a first-hand perspective on the role of International officials in monitoring the ceasefire and relations between Israel and Lebanon.

  • Learn about the challenges and complexities that arise from the recent affairs in the region

Druze Culinary Experience:

  • Learn about the unique culture & stories of the Druze community in Israel

Jerusalem:

  • Walk to the Western wall to experience the spirit of the Sabbath

  • Experience a modern yet traditional Jewish Sabbath dinner (Food + Alcohol + Singing).

  • Social at the hostel in Jerusalem

Saturday, August 8th

 

Travel to the Dead Sea:

  • Enjoy the most relaxing destination in Israel- the lowest place on Earth!

  • Floating in the Dead Sea is a perfect opportunity for a rejuvenating and fun experience.

Visit Bethlehem:

  • Visit historic locations and holy sites for the Jews and Christians

  • David's Wells, Rachel's Tomb, Solomon's Pools, and the Church of the Nativity

  • Hear from local Palestinians about life in the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and hopes for the future

Enjoy a night with Stand With Us and Model UN students at a local Jerusalem Bar

Sunday, August 9th

 

Travel through the Old City of Jerusalem:

  • Travel back in time and walk along 3,000 years of history in Jerusalem's Old City with an expert guide

  • Start from a lookout from Mt. of Olives towards the Holy Basin 

  • Cross into the ancient city walls and get an "insider's-look" of the holiest city to all three Monotheistic religions

  • Visit the UNSCO headquarters in Jerusalem:

  • Meet with an official representative, addressing the topic of the UN's role in managing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Tour along the Security Fence:

  • Get first-hand stories about requests from officials on both sides of the conflict, raising different considerations and difficulties in creating the fence

  • The tour includes lookout points, visit to the Rachel crossing-point and drive-thru Palestinian and Israeli neighborhoods that are affected by the route of the fence

  • Tour will end on Mt. Scopus  

Sunset Dinner & Farewell

Buses will go to Tel Aviv and Ben Gurion Airport
